PSW wins $162K in WRH Foundation's 50/50 Draw

A Windsor personal support worker is $162,000 richer after winning Windsor Regional Hospital Foundation's Mega Money 50/50 Grand Prize Draw.

The hospital's foundation is congratulating Sherrel Robertson on the big win.

Robertson was notified Friday that she had won the largest grand prize jackpot in the WRH Foundation’s Mega Money 50/50 Draw history.

"I thank you, I thank you, I thank you," Robertson said. "I'm so happy, I can't explain it. I have to think. I bought multiple tickets, as they always say, if you don't have a ticket, you don't have a chance."

The draw was launched last year in December and included 12 Draws of Christmas prizes leading up to December 25 as well as a New Year's Eve Night Out package.

Proceeds from the sale of the lottery tickets will go towards supporting the purchase of vital medical equipment at Windsor Regional Hospital.

“We want to thank all of our generous sponsors for playing a huge role in making this Mega Money 50/50 Draw a tremendous success,” said Manager of Philanthropy Cristina Naccarato. "Each ticket purchased helps patient care and for everyone who purchased a ticket, please know your kindness is appreciated.”
