Mourning family looking for witnesses

The family of a toddler killed in a collision last November has hired a lawyer in search of answers.

Ethan Spada, 2, died after the vehicle he was in was t-boned by another vehicle.

The crash happened around 7 p.m. on November 10. Spada's mother Avery Parent was driving eastbound on County Road 42 and another vehicle ran a stop sign and flashing red warning light at Renaud Line.

The 55-year-old driver from Lakeshore has been charged with dangerous driving causing death and impaired driving causing death.

“We have been asked by this devastated family to help them understand what happened and why it happened. Unfortunately, the police will not share any evidence with us until the criminal charges are resolved and so we are doing our own investigation of this tragedy and are looking for anyone who either witnessed the crash or were there in the aftermath. We are trying to assemble evidence before memories fade and witnesses disappear,” said Windsor lawyer Dina Mejalli.

Mejalli is a partner at Greg Monforton & Partners Injury Lawyers. Witnesses are asked to call the law firm at 519-258-6490.
