Windsor firefighters battle large fire downtown

Windsor firefighters were kept busy Saturday night after a fire broke out at a building on Ouellette Avenue.

Sometime after 7 p.m., crews responded to a building on fire in the 800 block of Ouellette Avenue near Elliot Street.

Windsor police were called to the scene to assist fire crews with detouring traffic around the area.

At around 10 p.m., Windsor fire confirmed the blaze was out and that crews were ventilating the building.

No other details on a damage estimate or cause have been determined.
