New year, new President and CEO at HDGH

Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare (HDGH) in Windsor will be ringing in the new year with new leadership.

The hospital announced on Friday that Bill Marra, who was already set to transition into the roles of President and CEO at HDGH, will be taking over those roles as of January 1, 2022.

The hospital had previously planned to have Marra take over for outgoing President and CEO Janice Kaffer no later than March 31, 2022 and April 1, 2022, but said it is speeding up the transition to "facilitate a single leadership voice in managing the Omicron surge and to ensure that the response at HDGH is not subject to any role confusion between an incoming and outgoing CEO."

A release from the hospital said Kaffer will still continue to support Marra and the HDGH Board of Directors in an advisor capacity.
