New COVID-19 cases at six Windsor-Essex schools

The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board has dismissed another class from St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School in Windsor.

Another case of COVID-19 was confirmed at the school on Monday for a total of five active infections.

The class on Monday is the third dismissed in recent days.

The English Catholic school board currently has 11 COVID-19 cases at five schools; St. Pius X Catholic Elementary School, St. Joseph’s Catholic Elementary School, St. John Vianney Catholic Elementary School, St. Andre Catholic Elementary School, and St. Gabriel.

A total of nine classes are dismissed.

The Greater Essex County District School Board reported new cases of COVID-19 at five schools in recent days.

New cases were confirmed on Sunday and Monday at Tecumseh Vista Academy Elementary, D.M. Eagle Public, Riverside Secondary School, General Amherst Secondary School, and Leamington District Secondary School.

Since the start of the school year, the public school board has had 152 cases.
