Potential COVID-19 exposure reported on Transit Windsor

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has identified a possible COVID-19 exposure point on Transit Windsor buses.

The health unit has asked anyone who rode on certain buses on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms for two weeks.

The possible exposure on both Monday and Tuesday happened on the 1-C bus between 7:46 a.m. and 8:05 a.m., then on the Central 3 bus between 3:06 p.m. and 3:36 p.m.

The exposure on Wednesday took place on the 1-C bus between 7:46 a.m. and 8:05 a.m., and again from 3:30 p.m. to 3:35 p.m.

No additional information was given on specific portions of the bus routes in question.

If you rode these buses at any of the times scheduled and you feel ill, get a COVID-19 test immediately and self-isolate. You can also contact your health care provider for specific instructions.

There are currently five active COVID-19 exposure points from the health unit.
