Lakeshore's new CFO recently left the Town of Amherstburg

Lakeshore has a new Chief Financial Officer, the latest switch in a game of municipal musical chairs in Essex County.

The Municipality of Lakeshore announced it had hired Justin Rousseau on Wednesday. He is the former treasurer and director of corporate services in Amherstburg.

He and Amherstburg town clerk Paula Parker announced their departure from the Town of Amherstburg just over a month ago.

Rousseau and Parker's resignations were the latest in a series of staffing shuffles in Amherstburg.

Susan Hirota left the Chief Administrative Officer's job after just four weeks back in August. She accepted the Director of Legal Services position in Kingsville.

Hirota replaced John Miceli, who left the Town of Amherstburg after Windsor Police officers visited some municipal properties as part of an investigation.

The police still has not released details of that investigation.

After Hirota, Antonietta Giofo became the Chief Administrative Officer, and then Tony Haddad was appointed to the position on an interim basis.

Rousseau grew up in Essex County, earned a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Windsor, and is a Chartered Professional Accountant. He earned a Master's Certificate in Municipal Leadership from York University.
