The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is ready to help people without health cards obtain proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
Residents who got their vaccine without a health card, or who don't have a health card, can book an appointment at the health unit's Windsor headquarters to get their receipt.
Staff will provide the printed receipt along with a unique code number, which can then be used to get additional copies of the receipt, or the enhanced receipt with the QR code.
The health unit will honour appointments for receipts from noon to 8 p.m. on weekdays, and residents can go online to book an appointment. Those who do not have access to the internet can call 226-773-2200 for assistance.
The health unit said residents must attend their appointment in person, and provide two pieces of identification to verify the information given when the vaccine was administered. These can include any government-issued photo ID, along with a birth certificate, citizenship or permanent residency card, mail with your home address on it, and so forth.
