Downtown Windsor to hold flea market Sunday

Bargain hunters have an opportunity to peruse the offerings at an event in downtown Windsor.

The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association (DWBIA) is hosting its first-ever fall flea market Sunday at the Pelissier Street parking garage, as well as on Pelissier Street itself between Wyandotte Street West and Park Street West. The flea market is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

"The flea market is a fabulous and fun world, full of discovery," said DWBIA Chairman Brian Yeomans in a media release. "They’re a discerning shopper’s dream because they’re always crammed with vendors selling eclectic, unusual goods that aren’t so mainstream and expected."

The flea market will feature over 50 vendors selling unique items, as well as locally-owned businesses. Goods will range from jewelry, crafts, and vintage clothing; to health and beauty products, wooden signs, and pallet products.

Entertainer Max Marshall will provide acoustic folk music and entertainment.

The flea market is free and open to everyone. Shoppers should carry both cash and credit, since some vendors may not be equipped to handle debit or credit transactions.

Physical distancing is strongly encouraged to reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.
