Erieau man charged in murder of Oyebode Oyenuga of Windsor

The Ontario Provincial Police have released more information about one of the suspects arrested in the murder of Oyebode Oyenuga of Windsor.

Police had announced the arrest earlier but didn't release any details. They are just releasing the suspect's name and charges now.

Jeffrey Drew Bliss was arrested on August 5 when officers from the Lambton County OPP Crime Unit, Chatham-Kent Police, and the OPP Emergency Response Team went to a home in Erieau.

The 36-year-old man faces a charge of trafficking a firearm, weapon, device or ammunition.

Oyenuga was reported missing in Windsor in February, and a month later, his body was found on Walpole Island.

Since then, police have charged 31-year-old Rolf Rodley Agard and 28-year-old Saccaara Johnson of Windsor, 23-year-old Dejour Millington of Toronto, and 40-year-old Dwayne Jahton Blair with first-degree murder. A Kitchener man, 20-year-old Zy'Shaun Lawrence, also faces accessory after the fact to murder and indignity to a dead body counts.

None of the charges against the suspects have been proven in court.

Police are continuing their investigation and ask anyone with information about Oyenuga's death to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122, the Lambton County OPP Crime Unit at 519-882-1011, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477. Tips can also be submitted online at www.sarnialambtoncrimestoppers.org.
