The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board has had to dismiss a class and a bus cohort from St. Louis Catholic Elementary School after a case of COVID-19 was confirmed there.

The school board said it was confirmed on Tuesday afternoon and the families of the impacted students have been notified. The health unit will let them know when those students can return to the classroom.

Currently, students are dismissed at three other schools too. They are at St. Joseph’s Catholic High School, St. Angela Catholic Elementary School, and St. Anne Catholic Elementary School.

The Greater Essex County District School Board reported a new case of the virus on Monday at the Giles Campus French Immersion School.

That school board has had 97 cases of COVID-19 since the start of the school year.
