Lakeshore seeks input about flooding

If you live in Lakeshore and you have been impacted by flooding in recent years, the municipal council wants to hear from you.

On Tuesday, November 2, it will hold a special meeting to talk about flooding in the municipality.

The meeting starts at 6 p.m. and will be live-streamed.

Staff will provide a brief presentation about the last big rainfall on July 16, and report what progress has been made on the recently adopted Flood Mitigation and Protection Framework.

Residents can also find out what programs and services are available to help protect their homes from flooding.

Members of the community will then be invited to share their experiences and how the municipality responded.

Those who are interested in presenting must register before the meeting by 4:30 p.m. on November 1. Delegates need to call 519-728-2488 to get on the list of speakers. Written submissions can also be sent by emailing Clerk@Lakeshore.ca, or by filling out an online form.
