Premier Doug Ford plans to make an announcement in Tecumseh on Monday afternoon.
He'll be joined by Deputy Premier and Health Minister Christine Elliott at a location that is not being made public.
Last week, there was speculation Ford would announce soon that his government will take the province out of step three of its Reopening Ontario plan. Ontario has been in step three for four months, and after a spike in daily COVID-19 cases at the beginning of the school year, the province has been recording less than 500 infections a day for the past week.
Ontario reported 443 new cases on Sunday and no new deaths from the virus, while the number of active cases province-wide is now 3,898.
Before he makes the announcement, Ford is expected to visit the mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the former Sears Store at Devonshire Mall.
