No injuries after stove catches fire in east Windsor

Windsor firefighters worked to prevent a stovetop fire from getting out of control after it broke out early Monday evening.

According to fire officials, the blaze erupted in a building on Tecumseh Road East near Gladstone Avenue at around 5:30 p.m.

No one was hurt during the incident and crews were able to get the fire out quickly before they started to ventilate the building.

Officials confirmed the fire originated on a stove and as a result, the damage is estimated at $5,000.
