A single mom in Windsor is getting a new furnace just in time for colder weather.
In partnership with the Lennox Feel the Love Program, Farhall Home Comfort will donate and install the free furnace and filter system.
Brooke Lafleur was nominated for the program by her brother Scott Lafleur. According to the nomination, Lafleur's aging heating equipment has significant rust damage from back to back years of flooding. Because of that the unit is barely working.
According to Scott, Brooke spent all last winter sleeping on the couch so that her son could sleep in her bedroom, the warmest room in the house.
Farhall will install a new high-efficiency furnace at Brooke's Riverside area home on Saturday.
The Lennox Feel the Love Program has donated and installed over 1,500 furnaces over the last 12 years.
