The Essex Region Conservation Authority is warning residents there could be flooding with all the rain expected by Saturday morning.
How much rain we can expect in Windsor-Essex will vary, but Environment Canada forecasts up to 50 mm of rain in some parts.
"There is an elevated risk of flooding along rivers, streams, and creeks within Windsor-Essex," said the authority in a statement. "There is also an elevated risk of ponding water in low-lying areas, especially adjacent to, and within floodplains, and in urban areas where rainfall rates could be heavier."
Lake levels are still elevated compared to the long-term averages, so flooding along Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair is possible.
