Three drivers face impaired driving charges

The Leamington detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police charged three people with impaired driving over the weekend.

Around 9 a.m. Saturday, police were called to County Road 31 for reports of a person sleeping in their vehicle. They found a 34-year-old from Lakeshore, who was charged with impaired operation and impaired operation with blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.

Later that evening, police were called to another area of Leamington for a possible impaired driver. Police located the vehicle and charged a 34-year-old from Kingsville with impaired operation and impaired operation with blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.

Then around 2 p.m. Sunday, Leamington OPP were called about an erratic driver. They found the vehicle and charged a 27-year-old driver from Leamington with impaired operation and impaired operation with blood alcohol concentration of 80 plus.

All of the accused had their licenses suspended for 90 days and their vehicles impounded for seven days. None of the charges have been proven in court.
