Two people arrested in drug investigation

Two people are facing multiple charges after an investigation by the Windsor Police Service Drugs and Guns Unit.

During the investigation, police identified several suspects, and residences believed to be involved.

On Tuesday, officers located one of the suspects in a vehicle and made an arrest without incident. The car was searched and some drugs and money were seized as evidence.

A second suspect was found outside an involved residence and was arrested without incident.

Investigators searched the home and found a number of illicit drugs including cannabis marijuana, psilocybin mushrooms, fentanyl, cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine. All of the drugs were seized along with some money.

Officers also found what looked like a cannabis extraction lab. The Explosive Disposal Unit was called and seized a number of tanks and hazardous materials.

Windsor Police Constable Constable Talya Natyshak said the names of the charged individuals and specific locations are not being released at this time to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.

The two suspects who were arrested are facing multiple charges including; multiple counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and altering cannabis with an organic solvent.
