Two "people of interest" identified in Pannanzio murder in Fort Erie

The Niagara Regional Police Service has identified two people connected to the murder of a Windsor woman in Fort Erie last January.

On January 19, police responded to reports gunshots were fired at a home in Fort Erie. When they arrived, they found the bodies of 20-year-old Juliana Pannunzio of Windsor and 18-year-old Christine Crooks.

The two women were part of a group of people who had booked a short-term rental for a party. However, the others at the gathering had left before officers arrived.

Last month, police released a photo taken at the party and asked the public to help them identify a man and a woman who were not wearing masks in the picture. They also increased the reward for information leading to an arrest in the case to $100,000.

Tips from the public lead them to the two people of interest, who police will not identify to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation.

Anyone who has information about the murders can call the Niagara Regional Police Service's Homicide Unit Tip Line at 289-248-1058.
