Motorcyclist killed in downtown Windsor crash

A LaSalle man has died following a crash that took place in downtown Windsor Saturday night.

Windsor police say a motorcycle and another vehicle collided shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Riverside Drive West near Ferry Street. Officers tended to the male driver of the motorcycle and his female passenger until paramedics arrived. Both were rushed to hospital with grave injuries, according to Constable Darius Goze.

The 31-year-old driver has since passed away from his injuries. There has been no update on the condition of the passenger.

The occupants of the automobile involved in the collision were unhurt.

Windsor police's accident reconstruction unit remained on scene well into Sunday morning, trying to determine how the crash occurred. No charges have been laid.
