Gun pointed at delivery person who asked for directions

A Windsor man is facing charges after an altercation with a food delivery person.

The Windsor Police Service was called to Meadowbrook Lane around 5 p.m. Tuesday. The delivery person reported they got into a fight with someone after asking for directions to the house they were looking for.

During the altercation, the suspect is alleged to have pointed a firearm at the victim. The suspect took off in a black Lexus before police arrived.

Officers quickly found the empty vehicle on Lassaline Avenue. The K9 Unit tracked a scent to a residence and officers contained the area.

The suspect exited the home involved and was arrested without incident. He was taken to the hospital for minor injuries he got during his fight with the delivery person.

The 26-year-old from Windsor is charged with uttering threats, pointing a firearm, and possessing a weapon dangerous to public peace.

The Major Crime Unit is still investigating the incident. Anyone with surveillance video in the area of Meadowbrook Lane and Lassaline Avenue is asked to check their footage for possible evidence.
