Two suspects sought in serious assault

Windsor police are looking for two people who seriously injured someone in an assault Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a call at around 8 p.m. from McEwan Avenue and Wyandotte Street West. An injured person was found and rushed to hospital with grave injuries.

Police learned that the victim was assaulted and the suspects left the area before officers arrived. A black Mitsubishi SUV was identified as the getaway vehicle, and it was later found by police and seized as evidence.

One of the suspects was reported to have a firearm and a knife and is considered armed and dangerous, according to Constable Talya Natyshak.

Both suspects are Black males between 25 and 35 years of age.

The first suspect had short hair and was wearing black jeans and a black shirt. The second suspect is 5' 8", 150 pounds, with short curly brown hair. He was wearing black pants, a black shirt, and carrying a satchel-type bag.

Anyone in the neighbourhood with a security camera system should check footage from Tuesday evening and notify police if they see anything unusual.
