Windsor police seek information in weekend home invasion

City police are asking for the public's help in searching for two of four suspects wanted relating to a home invasion that took place over the weekend.

According to Windsor police, officers were called to a property on Logan Avenue near Jackson Park around noon on Sunday for a report of a home invasion.

Police say during the incident, four adult suspects attended the home and assaulted a victim. Two of the suspects are known to the victim police said. Following the attack, the suspects left the residence in multiple vehicles.

Paramedics arrived and transported the victim to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officers canvassed the area to obtain witness statements and video surveillance which police say they used to identify the suspect vehicles, a black Range Rover, a white Range Rover and a blue Mercedes.

Officers later located all three vehicles parked at a home on Dominion Boulevard near Ojibway Street however, the white Range Rover and the Mercedes fled before police arrived.

Just before 11 p.m. Sunday, officers returned to the home on Dominion and two of the four suspects were arrested without incident.

A 28-year-old male and a 27-year-old female, both of Windsor, are charged with aggravated assault.

Police say they continue to search for two unknown male suspects.

Anyone residing in the area where the attack took place on Logan Avenue, or near the suspect property on Dominion Boulevard who has home video security, is asked to call Windsor police.
