OPP investigate Harrow robbery, assault

Ontario Provincial Police are seeking the public’s help in investigating a robbery in Essex.

It happened Wednesday shortly before 8 p.m. at a business on King Street East in Harrow. Police say the suspects entered the store and began taking items off the shelves. When they tried to leave without paying, they allegedly assaulted a store employee.

OPP Constable Stephen Duguay said the suspects fled in a white SUV. The employee was not hurt.

The Essex County Crime Unit is examining video surveillance footage and the investigation continues.
