Illegal weapons seized from Windsor home

Two people from Windsor are facing a number of weapons related charges after an investigation by the Windsor Police Drugs and Guns Unit.

As part of the investigation, two suspects were identified and connected to a home on Glengarry Avenue.

The DIGS Unit, along with the Emergency Services Unit and the K9 Unit, searched the home around 2 p.m. Tuesday. Both suspects were inside the home and arrested without incident.

Officers seized two sawed-off shotguns, ammunition, and a spring assisted knife from the residence.

Both suspects are facing charges in relation to possessing illegal firearms and the possession of an illegal weapon. The charges have not been proven in court.
