Police investigating suspicious fire in Amherstburg

The Windsor Police Service in Amherstburg is investigating a suspicious brush fire.

The fire happened around 5:30 p.m. on March 25 in the area of Alma Street and Thomas Road. Patrol officers saw heavy smoke in the area and called fire crews to put out the blaze.

There were no injuries or property damage reported as a result of the fire.

Investigators believed the fire was suspicious and an arson investigation was launched. They are asking anyone in the area who has surveillance cameras to check their footage for suspicious activity.
