A case of COVID-19 has been linked to a class at St. Rose Catholic Elementary School.
Following the direction of the local health unit, the Windsor Essex Catholic District School Board has dismissed 21 students from the school.
In a news release, the school board said it learned of the case on Monday and informed affected students not to return to school on Tuesday.
All staff and students who have been directly affected will be contacted by the health unit. All other students can continue to attend school as usual. The school remains open.
Parents are asked to continue to monitor their children for any symptoms of COVID-19 and to keep them at home and call their healthcare provider for further direction if they are sick.
