New tool to report issues in Lakeshore

The Municipality of Lakeshore has launched a new online reporting tool for residents to report non-urgent issues within the municipality.

Issues like missed garbage or recycling pick-ups, road or park condition concerns, and streetlight outages can be reported through the online tool.

“We have heard residents say they want an easy way to report problems,” stated Lakeshore Mayor, Tom Bain. “This online system provides the opportunity to let us know about an issue, so we can create a work order, and schedule the appropriate staff for the job. We all want our community to be safe and well cared for, so I encourage you to try our Report a Problem online reporting tool. ”

The user reporting the problem is required to provide contact information and will be asked to provide as much detail as possible about their concern. There will also be a tool to attach photos to the report.

Problems can be reported 24-hours a day, seven days a week, but will only be reviewed by staff during working hours. The municipality plans to review all reports within two business days.

The online reporting tool is being run as a pilot project until the summer. At that time, it will be evaluated and adjusted as needed.

Residents are still encouraged to call the municipality directly for bylaw-related complaints.
