Fire severely damages mobile home in Essex

A mobile home sustained significant damages after a fire broke out in the Viscount Estates community.

Emergency crews were called to the residence on Regent Court sometime after 8 p.m. Tuesday. Firefighters worked quickly to put out the fire and spent time after overhauling the property.

Officials say the cause of the fire was accidental and no one was injured during the incident. Damages are estimated at $175,000.

Essex Fire & Rescue credits working smoke alarms for alerting the family.
