Amherstburg CAO's family on Family Feud

If you are a fan of Family Feud Canada, Monday night's show might be more engaging than usual.

The Miceli family of Windsor will be competing.

That is John Miceli's family. He is the CAO at the Town of Amherstburg.

It turns out his wife is a big fan of the show.

"My mom actually has had a Family Feud obsession for quite some time now, starting when she was just a little girl," said daughter Carolina Miceli. "Her Godfather was actually on the Family Feud show."

John Miceli said he watches the show every Tuesday and Thursday night with his wife. She was the one who applied to compete but did not tell her family about it until they were called to audition.

Most of the Miceli brood will be participating Monday night. Son, Giaci, did not take part, but if the family wins, it plans to donate some to the Windsor-Essex chapter of Autism Ontario.

The episode was recorded several months ago, and because of COVID-19 restrictions, Giaci was not allowed at the studio, although he has become a sensation on Tik Tok. His sisters upload videos of him to educate the public about autism.

It is not the first time the family was booked for an appearance on the game show. Carolina Miceli said they were originally going to appear in the show's first season.

"Because of some family commitments, we weren't able to do it," she said. "They sent an email out, and then we auditioned again."

More than 2,000 families applied to appear on the show, and five from Windsor-Essex have made appearances.
