Outbreak ended at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has rescinded the last remaining COVID-19 outbreak at a local hospital system.

Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare (HDGH) announced Monday that the outbreaks on the 3-South Unit at the Dr. Y. Emara Centre for Healthy Aging and Mobility had ended. This now means the Prince Road campus is outbreak-free.

In all, there were five patients and three staff with positive tests at 3-South, according to the hospital.

"The Executive Leadership Team would like to thank our staff, physicians, and community for their ongoing and tireless efforts to support each other, our patients, and their families through all of this," read a statement from the hospital.

According to the health unit's website on Monday afternoon, there is one outbreak at each of Windsor Regional Hospital's two campuses.
