Provincial police in Leamington say one person has been charged with arson after a fire on Family Day.
The fire broke out around 4 a.m. on Talbot Street East near Victoria Avenue. Leamington Fire Services quickly extinguished the blaze and there were no injuries reported.
The Major Crime Unit and the Ontario Fire Marshalls office investigated the fire.
A person was arrested and charged with arson, failing to comply with an undertaking, and break and enter.
The charges have not been proven in court. The OPP is not releasing the name of the accused to protect the identity of the victim.
