COVID-19 exposure alert issued at Belle River pharmacy

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has issued a second possible COVID-19 exposure alert in as many days.

On Friday afternoon the health unit reported a potential exposure point at Brady's Drug Store in Belle River.

The dates of the possible exposure to the virus, according to the WECHU, are February 2, 5, 8, 9, and 10, all between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The chances of exposure to the virus are low, but the health unit has asked anyone who visited the pharmacy on those dates and hours to self-monitor for 14 days. If they experience symptoms, they should get a test and contact their health care provider for further instructions.

This exposure alert comes a day after the health unit issued one for the Zehrs store on Manning Road in Tecumseh, after a positive case involving an undetermined COVID-19 variant was confirmed.

Complete information on any ongoing exposure alerts can be found on the health unit's official website.
