UPDATE: Windsor fire investigating two blazes, one set intentionally

Windsor firefighters were kept busy tackling fires Friday morning.

Windsor Fire and Rescue said the first one took place on Magnolia Avenue near Firgrove Drive. Windsor police say officers arrived on scene around 1 a.m. to help with the incident.

Police Constable Darius Goze said one person in the house was treated at the scene for non-life threatening injuries.

Fire investigators determined that it was set on purpose. A damage estimate is at $7,000.

Investigation has been turned over to the Windsor police arson unit. Anyone with surveillance camera footage in the area is asked to review it for any suspicious people, and people with information are asked to call Windsor police or Crime Stoppers.

The second fire took place on South Cameron Boulevard off Longfellow Avenue. Fire crews were on scene around 5 a.m., but Windsor Fire reported the fire out about half an hour later.

The investigation into the latter fire found that it began on the exterior deck and garage. The cause was undetermined, though two people have been displaced. The damage came to $100,000.
