Routine traffic stop uncovers stolen vehicle, illegal cannabis

A routine traffic stop by the Ontario Provincial Police in Leamington has turned up a stolen vehicle.

The vehicle was pulled over on January 11 for a Highway Traffic Act offence.

Waterloo Regional Police reported it stolen in December.

The police in Leamington also found some illegal cannabis inside the vehicle.

Now, a woman from Windsor and a Leamington man face charges.

Police also charged 29-year-old Zachary Mutter of Leamington with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime.

The charges have not been proven in court.

The two have been released from police custody and are scheduled for an appearance in a Leamington courtroom on February 25.
