A group of eight people are facing more than two dozen charges following a drug bust in Windsor.

The Windsor Police Service said its Drugs and Guns Unit began an investigation last month that led officers to a residence within the city. Officers obtained and executed a search warrant at the unspecified address on Wednesday.

During a search, police seized 80.8 grams of fentanyl, 25.5 grams of crystal methamphetamine, 10 grams of cocaine, $4,490 in Canadian currency, and brass knuckles. The seized drugs have a street value of $35,870.

As a result, six adults and two youths have been arrested and are charged with a total of 25 drug and weapons offences.  The two youths cannot be identified under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and police have not released the names of the adults to protect the identity of the youths.
