Essex County OPP recover significant amount of stolen property

Essex County OPP recovered over $65,000 worth of stolen property after an extensive investigation.

Last Friday, the Community Street Crime Unit, the Canine Unit, and the Emergency Response Units searched several properties in Windsor in connection to the investigation.

One property was on County Road 42 and the other was on Cataraqui Street. Investigators recovered approximately $50,000 worth of residential property, $15,000 worth of commercial property, and several stolen vehicles. Officers also seized crystal methamphetamine during the search.

Five Windsor residents are facing charges in relation to the investigation and seizures.

Stanley Idzior, 56, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and failing to comply with a release order.

Terra Greenwood, 45, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.

Harley Dellaire, 26, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 and unauthorized possession of a weapon.

Braidon Montgomery, 22, is charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

James Laramie, 39, is charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

None of the charges have been proven in court. The accused are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor to answer to the charges at a later date.
