Three businesses possibly exposed to COVID-19

As the government moves to increase restrictions in the Windsor-Essex region, the local health unit is warning the public of possible exposure of COVID-19 at three different businesses.

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is asking anyone who visited these businesses on the specified dates to monitor themselves for symptoms of the virus.

Exposure was possible at Carmen's Catering in Leamington on November 16, 17 and 19 between 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and November 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Exposure was possible at the Shoppers Drug Mart at 7980 Menard St. in Windsor on November 19-20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

And exposure was also possible at India 47 Restaurant and Bar at 1640 Lesperance Rd in Windsor on November 20-21 from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The risk of exposure at these locations is considered low.

Anyone with symptoms including cough, difficulty breathing, and a fever should be tested for COVID-19.

The Ontario government announced on Friday that Windsor-Essex will be moving into Red-Control level of the COVID-19 response framework on Monday.
