Police investigating serious collision involving motorcycle

Police are looking for witnesses to a serious crash that sent a motorcycle driver to the hospital.

Around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Windsor Police Service responded to a collision involving a car and a motorcycle at the intersection of Country Road 20 and Kingsbridge Drive in Amherstburg. The driver of the motorcycle was found lying near the motorcycle with potentially life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. The driver of the car was not injured.

Police interviewed several witnesses on the scene and the collision reconstruction unit investigated.

The collision remains under active investigation and investigators would like to speak to any witnesses who they have not already spoken to.

The intersection was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
