Health unit warns of COVID-19 exposure at a church and a Tim Hortons

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has reported the potential for exposure to COVID-19 at two new locations in Windsor-Essex.

It is asking those who visited the Tim Horton's at 1218 Essex County Road 22 on October 28 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to self-monitor for symptoms of the virus.

It has also flagged Redeemed Christian Church of God on November 1 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The church is located at 1636 Tecumseh Road West.

Those who show symptoms of COVID-19 are asked to get tested.

There are two COVID-19 assessment centres in Windsor-Essex.  In the city, it is at the Ouellette Campus of Windsor Regional Hospital.  There is also a centre at Erie Shores Healthcare in Leamington.

Commons symptoms include a new or worsening cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, a temperature of 38 C or higher, fever, chills, fatigue, new loss of smell or test, headache, diarrhea, vomting, and muscle and body aches.
