Hate messages spray-painted throughout LaSalle home during B&E

A LaSalle family came home to a disturbing sight after a trip away on Halloween night.

The LaSalle Police Service is investigating a break and enter in a neighbourhood off of Todd Lane where the suspect or suspects left racist symbols and possibly hate-motivated messages spray-painted throughout the home.

Police said the family came home on November 1 and found extensive damage to the inside of the home and several items stolen.

"The LaSalle Police Service is not revealing any further information that may affect the integrity of the investigation and the family has asked that their privacy be respected at this time," said Senior Constable Terry Seguin in a news release.

The investigation into the break and enter is ongoing. The LaSalle Police Service is appealing to the public to come forward with any information related to this case. Anyone with information about this occurrence is encouraged to contact LaSalle police immediately at 519 969-5210 or anonymous tips can be made at Crime Stoppers at 519 258-8477.
