All Daily Shield hand sanitizers are being recalled after Health Canada found methanol in it.
That includes medicated wipes, gels, and liquids.
Methanol can cause serious health issues like skin, eye, and upper respiratory irritation and headaches. If ingested, methanol can even kill you.
Anyone who suffers an adverse reaction to the product is asked to report it to Health Canada.
Dollarama sells it, but it may be sold at other retailers too.
Continued testing by Health Canada found it was unlikely to kill germs and bacteria because the ethanol content is too low.
Unlike another recall recently, the product is not counterfeit.
Health Canada has also suspended all product licenses held by Bio-Life Sciences Corp with an intent to revoke the COVID-19 site license. It will test other products by Bio Life Sciences Corp.
