Family of missing man makes public plea for answers

Two years after Jerome Allen's disappearance, his family is making a public plea for people to come forward with information.

Allen was last seen alive in Windsor's west side between the night of October 19 and the early morning hours of October 20, 2018. Windsor police began investigating the missing person case about one month later. Evidence led them to classify the disappearance as a homicide investigation.

Allen's mother Catherine is hoping someone will come forward so the family can have closure.

"There are no words to express the pain, the hurt, and the suffering that we have been enduring for two years, with no answers, and not knowing exactly what happened to him. This has been a never-ending nightmare that no one should have to go through," said Catherine.

The Windsor Police Service Board recently doubled the reward to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the parties responsible for Allen's murder.

"Help us get answers to our many, many questions. Jerome, we love you, we miss you. Please we're asking from the bottom of our hearts, if you have any information, don't matter how small, please come forward," said Catherine.

Allen was living in Windsor at the time of his disappearance but was known to have ties to the Greater Toronto Area.

As part of the investigation, a home on Cross Street was searched. Allen's body has never been found.
