Four additional COVID-19 cases recorded in Windsor-area

The total COVID-19 case count in Windsor-Essex is now at 2,649 after four new cases were reported on Sunday.

One of the latest cases is community-acquired, one is from close contact and two remain under investigation.

There was only one new case listed as resolved on Sunday, with the number of people who have recovered from the virus sitting at 2,494.

The region currently has one COVID-19 outbreak at a retirement home in Windsor and no workplace or school outbreaks.

Across the province, it was another day of increasing numbers. Ontario health officials reported 491 new cases with 137 coming from Toronto, 131 in Peel and 58 in both the Ottawa and York regions.
