WECHU identifies two new cases of COVID-19

There were only two new cases of COVID-19 identified in Windsor-Essex on Wednesday.

The Windsor Essex County Health Unit says both of the cases were linked to workers in the agricultural sector.

Since March, the region has had 2,636 confirmed cases of the virus. There are 85 active cases and four people are in hospital. To date, 76 people have died from COVID-19.

The Dolce Vita Retirement Home in Windsor is currently experiencing a COVID-19 outbreak. There are no workplaces in the region experiencing outbreaks.

The province reported 335 new cases of the virus Wednesday. There are 102 new cases in Toronto with 79 in Peel and 65 in Ottawa. There were more than 35,400 tests completed in the province over the last 24 hours.
