One new COVID-19 case reported in Windsor-Essex

Despite increasing numbers across the province, Windsor-Essex reported just a single additional case of COVID-19 on Sunday.

According to the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit, the transmission source of the newest case is still under investigation.

The case count in the region now sits at 2,624 with 76 deaths. One new case was listed as resolved on Sunday, with the total number of recoveries at 2,453.

There remained three COVID-19 outbreaks at area retirement homes and zero workplace outbreaks.

Meanwhile, provincial health officials reported  365 new cases of the virus on Sunday with 113 of them coming from Toronto and 108 from the Peel region.
