Eight new COVID-19 cases in Windsor-Essex
Windsor-Essex saw a handful of new COVID-19 cases on Saturday.
The local health unit reported eight new cases, bringing the regional case count to 2,623.
Six of the latest cases are from close contact with a confirmed case while the remaining two are community-acquired.
Two more people recovered from the virus over the past 24 hours. A total of 2,452 cases are listed as being resolved.
There remained three COVID-19 outbreaks at area retirement homes and zero workplace outbreaks.
Elsewhere, provincial health officials reported 407 new cases on Saturday.
According to Health Minister Christine Elliot, Ontario also processed nearly 39,000 tests, marking a new provincial record.
