The Windsor Police Service is investigating after a girl had an unsettling interaction with an unknown man in west Windsor.

The girl reported she was approached on California Avenue around Girardot Avenue in late August. Based on the conversation, she felt the man had seen her in the past. According to police, he provided her with hand-drawn pictures that resembled her.

The Major Crime Branch is investigating the incident to determine if there was any criminal intent.

The Windsor Police Service is reminding parents to speak with their children about talking to and interacting with strangers. They advise children should always travel in pairs in well lit high traffic areas. They should also know how to call 911 in an emergency and report suspicious behaviour to a trusted adult.
