The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit reported 14 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday from a variety of different transmission sources.
According to the health unit, four of the latest cases are from the agri-farm sector, four are still being investigated, three are from separate workplaces, two are from unemployed close contacts and one is from a non-healthcare worker who works in Michigan.
The total case count in the region is now at 1,794.
Another outbreak was declared at an agriculture workplace in Kingsville, bringing the total number of outbreaks in Kingsville to four. There is also two outbreaks in Leamington, one at an agricultural workplace and one at a manufacturing plant.
Meanwhile, ten new cases were listed as being resolved on Saturday, bringing the total number of people who have recovered from the virus in Windsor-Essex to 1,184.
The number of fatalities remained at 68 on Saturday.
Across Ontario, provincial health officials reported 130 new cases, which represents a 0.4 per cent increase over Friday's figures.
