Hand sanitizer offered to groups and businesses in Leamington and Kingsville

Small businesses, non-profits, cultural, religious, and service groups in Leamington and Kingsville can pick up hand sanitizer Tuesday for free.

The City of Windsor and communities in Essex County that are still in Stage One have teamed up to offer it at two locations.

Between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., it will be available at the Leamington Roma Club at 19 Seacliff Drive East in Leamington.

From 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., it will be available at the Kingsville Arena at 1741 Jasperson Dr.

"We stand shoulder to shoulder with our neighbours who are still dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak within the region's agriculture community," said Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens. "We don't know when Leamington and Kingsville will be able to enter Stage Two, but this distribution will help local businesses prepare for that re-opening."

The product is made to World Health Organization standards and will be in 375-millilitre bottles. More than 2,000 will be available.
